Style by Scott is a style-consulting firm that operates as a division of Solutions by Scott and Stacy London’s Style for Hire. The unique service of stylists was once previously only available to celebrities. Our services include closet editing, private styling, personal shopping, wardrobe planning and special occasion shopping. It is our goal for our clients’ that once styled, their personality and style is reflected through their clothes, wardrobes or outfits that they are wearing. We see a boost in each person’s self-confidence when they have clothes that fit, clothes they love, and the ability to find things successfully in your closet. The process begins with a free 30 minute consultation over the phone, web chat or Skype. Our goal is to learn about you and your style goals. You can book this just before your first appointment to extend your in-closet time, or at your convenience.

Style Consultation We make an evaluation of your physical attributes, lifestyle, and personal style in order to make recommendations on which fashion choices will help you achieve your desired image. Once this is done, we can decide which specific services would work best for you and your budget.

Closet Audit Don’t stress – this is the fun kind of audit! The first step in reinventing your look, is to perform a full edit on your closet. We’ll go through your wardrobe by category, and together we’ll decide what items to edit, keep, and what to alter or repair. We’ll send the items you do not want to consignment or to a charity, and your items to be repaired will go to our in-house tailor. If you have more then 80 garments, you’ll want to schedule your appointment accordingly. We need (on average) one hour, for each 40 items.

Shop Your Closet After the closet audit, we can help you create fresh new looks based on what’s left in your closet. We’ll take pictures so you can remember what to wear and upload them to our Style Dashboard. On the Dashboard, you’ll see your photos, your measurements and notes about the best colors for you and the specific advice you receive. If we find a great number of “orphan” garments, we’ll create a list of what to buy to help turn those orphan garments into complete outfits. This will fill in the functional gaps in your wardrobe.

Personal Shopping We assist our clients with shopping in two ways. We can either shop together, or, if you hate to shop, we’ll do the shopping for you and bring the clothes directly to your home. We even return the items you don’t want to the store. That is ideal for busy professionals or full-time mothers with kids at home. We help you get everything you need to complete your wardrobe in minimal time. We do the pre-shopping for you and pick out all the appropriate sizes, colors, cuts and styles and put them aside so that when we go shopping it is a much faster and smoother process.

If you’re freshening up your closet or preparing for an event, and we have already completed the Shop Your Closet appointment, we’ll use the photos from that appointment and the shopping list we’ve created to hit the stores. If we take you shopping at one of our partner retailers, you’ll even get a discount and VIP services! We strongly believe that no body is too curvy, and no budget is too thin. Style by Scott work within your constraints to help you find YOUR style. We average the industry standard of 1 garment per hour. There is a 2 hour minimum for personal shopping appointments.
